And einfachemahlzeiten is my little corner of the internet!
I’m the voice, author, and creator behind einfachemahlzeiten. It all began in 2016 when I was teaching third‑grade chemistry at a primary school in Munich. Between lesson plans I was constantly whisking up quick, kid‑friendly meals for my own family, and friends kept asking me for the recipes. One rainy evening I scribbled my first “easy dinner” on a napkin and posted it on a tiny WordPress blog. I never imagined that a simple post about a one‑pot pasta would be the seed for something bigger.
In 2018 I turned that hobby into a proper site, giving it the name einfachemahlzeiten. The first year I published 50 recipes and reached about 2,000 monthly readers. Fast‑forward to today—October 2025—I’ve added more than 3,200 recipes, launched a printable weekly‑plan tool, and built a community of over 120 000 monthly visitors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. I even started a quarterly newsletter that now lands in the inboxes of 18 000 food lovers.
I live in the leafy district of Schwabing with my husband Markus and our two kids, Lena (10) and Max (7). When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me wandering the Sunday market at Viktualienmarkt, hiking the Bavarian Alps, or curled up with a book of Rilke poems. I still keep a handwritten recipe journal—its pages are a mix of splattered sauce, doodles, and the occasional grocery list. That journal is the source of many of the “family secrets” you’ll see on the site.
One fun fact: the photo that sits at the top of the homepage was taken on a spontaneous picnic by the Isar River in June 2023. It reminds me that the best meals are the ones shared with people you love, even if it’s just a simple sandwich and a glass of sparkling water.
